Adharanand Finn is the author of the Sunday Times Sports Book of the Year ‘Running with the Kenyans’ and assistant production editor for the Guardian newspaper. If you haven’t been following it, the Guardian has a brilliant running blog and Finn kindly asked if Run-Fast would like to be involved in a documentary about why Kenyan runners are the best in the world.
Naturally we jumped at the chance and so athlete manager Tom ‘Kiprop’ Payn headed down to the Lee Valley Athletics Centre in Essex with athlete Boniface Kongin, winner of this year’s Poole Festival of Running 10k and the Blaydon Races.
The documentary is currently in post-production but we’ll be sure to let you know when it’s available.
Finn also deservedly won the Best New Writer award at the 2013 British Sports Book Awards for Running with the Kenyans. It’s a brilliant book and a really motivational read, even for non runners.
